Guarantor Requirements
To be a guarantor, you must meet the following requirements:
- Must be at least 18+ years of age
- Must have their own status number
- Must have known you personally for at least two years
- Must be available for verification and capable of answering questions about the applicant
What about spouses, parents, or other family members?
Spouses and family members can act as a guarantor if they meet all the criteria listed above.
A parent or legal guardian applying for a child or dependent adult cannot act as a guarantor for the child or dependent adult.
