In this article you will learn how to check the status of your OneFeather application. You will receive email updates as your application moves through our system. You can also check the status of your application on members.onefeather.ca > Status Card Applications.
Once an application is submitted to Indigenous Services Canada through OneFeather, it can take weeks to months to process through ISC. Unfortunately we do not have visibility or status updates while it is being processed with Canada.
Please note: We are unable to check the status of applications done directly through Indigenous Services Canada. Please contact Indigenous Services (via Public Enquiries).

How to change your guarantor
The most common issue experienced when trying to complete a status card application, is having to select a guarantor and then ensure they sign your application. It can require a little wrangling from the applicant in order for this process to get completed so we can submit your application to Indigenous Services Canada.
You may need to select another guarantor or have the email request sent again to the guarantor you've chosen. Once you've logged in to your OneFeather account:
- Click Apply Now in the Status Card section of the home page
- Find your application near the top and select View
- From the Overview navigation panel in your application, choose Select a Guarantor
- Scroll down to find the Select a Guarantor section
- Select the Remove Guarantor button
- A pop up will appear, select Yes, Remove Request
- You may now select a new guarantor, or input your previously chosen guarantor's information again to resend the request email
We strongly suggest letting your guarantor know you've selected them and to check for our email in their inbox and junk/spam folder as soon as possible. We will send both you and your guarantor reminder emails to completed their portion of your application.
Once they have completed the guarantor section, we can digitally submit your application to Indigenous Services Canada.

How to check the status of our application once it is at Indigenous Services Canada
Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to check the status of your application once it has been sent on to Indigenous Services. We are a trusted partner and intermediary service and do not have access to the Indigenous Services Canada system.
If you have not received your card and many months has past:
- First check the status of your application at OneFeather to ensure it has been submitted to ISC:
- We often suggest modifications to applications that might face approval challenges with Indigenous Services Canada. Our goal is to achieve a 98% ISC approval rate, so we carefully review each application. We'll email you about any change requests or application updates, please watch your email for notifications from OneFeather.
See how to check the status of your OneFeather application here. - A guarantor may not have seen the email request to support your application. Once an application is approved at OneFeather, we send and email notification to your guarantor to verify your identity. It sometimes takes a little bit of wrangling from the applicant to ensure the guarantor knows a request is incoming, as well as completing their portion of the application for you.
See how to change your guarantor or resend the email request here.
